Pastoring 101

Over the years, I’ve noticed a troubling shift in the church: many saints seem to lack faith for the deeper things of God. There is a missing hunger, which leads to struggles with long-term commitment, relying too much on feelings, and losing their sense of mission to a hurting world. Instead of pursuing God wholeheartedly, they seek comfort while listening to a Gospel that was meant to drive out darkness from their souls. They deny the power of God, placing their trust in doctors and Google searches. Meanwhile, they remain oblivious to the fact that end-time prophecies are unfolding right in front of them, while they scramble to find a better vacation package.

In pulpits across the world, a harmless gospel is being preached—one that allows the devil to sit comfortably in our pews without even breaking a sweat. Preachers are no longer delivering the life-changing message of Christ; instead, they are focused on building churches that attract crowds, rather than making disciples who will bring in a harvest for Christ. They’re more concerned with growing their Instagram following than with intentionally pushing back the forces of darkness.

My heart aches as I witness this madness, and my soul is grieved by the powerlessness of a church that claims to be baptized by the Holy Ghost.
